Reba was rescued from an 80+ dog hoarding situation in N. Texas
Despite surviving the first couple of years of her life with outside with minimal human contact, Reba is the sweetest and most gentle and petite gal that seeks and loves receiving affection once she forms a bond with her people. She loves couch time and belly rubs and has the cutest zoomies when she's happy. She gets along with all dogs and is so good with cats as well! Reba recently learned to walk on leash and is loving getting daily walks and sniffing all the new smells - she has natural loose leash walking skills and doesn't pull when she sees other dogs, cats, or squirrels.
For adult dogs, socialization after being in a hoarding situation for years can be a continued process over months and even years, and while Reba is still shy and skittish meeting new people, she has come such a long way in just the span of a couple of months, including allowing pets from strangers and even letting them carry her if needed! We are looking for a patient, loving, and gentle family to match the same traits in Reba and know that she will thrive in that environment and continue to gain confidence.
