Buddy and his sister Cissy were surrendered to a shelter after their owner entered hospice care and could no longer care for them.

Buddy came to us a little overweight and anxious due to his previous family environment but has adjusted very well to a routine of regular exercise and attention. Buddy is a perfect moderate energy companion for a couple of daily walks and lots of cuddles, but he is very calm in the house otherwise and is housetrained and has done just fine being uncrated around the house when his fosters leave (even for the full day); he is also fine in a crate when needed. Buddy is very affectionate with people and enjoys a good game of chase with other dogs. He can occasionally get a little jealous when other dogs get attention from his people, but is improving on that front and is easily redirectable.
