Good with Other Dogs: Titan is great with other dogs in an outdoor setting but has recently shown some in-home reactivity (mostly resource guarding of people) that could be resolved with training. However, at this time, we would only recommend Titan as an only dog in a household.

Titan is the sweetest and goofiest boy - he is so affectionate and will flip on to his back for belly rubs right away! He plays like a puppy, loves toys, balls, and to roll around in freshly cut grass. Titan has one of the best leash matters his foster has ever experienced - he loves long walks and yet walks with a loose leash! 

 

He was adopted from ABCR as a puppy, lovingly raised and cared for in a home for many years, and then sadly relinquished back to the rescue a few of months ago through no fault of his own. The loss of his home and the only life he’s ever known has been tough for Titan but he’s adapting well and is regaining his fun personality and happy and affectionate demeanor. Titan is very healthy and still has many long and happy years ahead of him (with proper care, BCs are a hardy breed with an active lifespan of 14-16 years). He has been overlooked by a lot of adopters due to his age alone but would be such a wonderful and still energetic companion for someone who loves and understands BCs.

He is currently fostering in the Houston area. ABCR will actively work with out of state adopters for transport options and requirements. For adopters in the Houston area, we are open to a permanent foster for Titan, under which the rescue will cover the cost of vetting for Titan at our designated partner clinics.
