What can we say, Petey is THE quintessential border collie! He is very affectional and loyal with people and sweet/friendly with new people. He listens well, is smart and observant of his environment, and is VERY athletic and ball-driven. Petey gets along very well with his foster dog sister (who is a more dominate female BC) and generally is eager to meet and play with other dogs. We noticed that when Petey is overstimulated (in a highly crowded, noisy, environment for several hours), he starts to vocalize at certain dogs that he wants to engaged/play with - Petey's foster is working with him to respond better to cues in these settles and we would encourage his adopter to continue to work with this smart boy on desensitization and obedience training.
