Panda, Male, 10 months old, 48 lbs, HW Neg, Neutered, Active Puppy/Young Dog, Crate Trained, Leash Trained, Great in the Car, and Potty Trained

This is my foster dog, Panda. He is an Aussie/Border mix that is about 10 months old. I rescued him from San Antonio where he was living life on a chain in a yard. They loved him but he had no freedom and no training. He has been with me for just under a month and I have had him vetted and neutered/microchipped.

I have been working very hard to get him used to a "people house". He did not even know how to climb stairs when I took him in or jump off a couch. He is a sweet, sweet boy with high puppy energy and is HIGHLY trainable. His bite pressure is very appropriate but he is still more mouthy than he should be and therefore is best in a home without kids, teens would be fine as long as the kids were patient with him and well-behaved kids. He is interested in my cats and I would not trust him loose yet with them but he has been nose to nose several times with them and does not do a thing so a house with cats would be ok assuming you take the time to acclimate them but I suppose ultimately it would depend on the cat.

Panda wants to play with my old dogs so badly but my pack is not friendly in that way so he would LOVE to have a brother or sister that wants to PLAY! Panda is in need of a home that wants an active dog. He goes for rides in the car and has been to Ace Hardware and Petco and loved being out. He loves new tasks and I want him to be with a family that truly enjoys training him and taking him out and jogs or walks with him and ideally someone who might even do agility! The home he goes to needs to have an understanding of basic training or a willingness to learn or hire a trainer who can help him continue his growth but he is a big, goofy lovable guy who deserves all the best in the world! If you are interested in meeting him, please PM me. While I am not asking for a rehoming fee I have spent over $500 on Panda to get him ready for his new life, I will want to know about you and will make certain that he goes to the perfect fit.
