Matty is a sweet, beautiful, and rambunctious young border collie who was rescued by good samaritans while trying to dodge traffic on a busy street after likely being dumped by her former family. She is underweight for her age (~25lbs but should be 30-35lbs) and is still adjusting to being an inside companion in her foster home, but has so far been sweet with adults and kids alike, friendly with other dogs in her foster home, and getting more playful/energetic everyday. Matty has already made great progress with housebreaking and crate training and we are currently working with her on basic obedience and leash manners. Being a BC, she showed some common car herding instincts on her initial walks but has already made progress since. Matty would make an amazing companion for any border-savvy family that has the experience in continuing to work with her on basic obedience training, leash training, and mental enrichment. She has loved the kids she's met so far, including young toddlers, so she would also likely be a good candidate for a family with children.
