Howdy! My name is Eugene - I was recently rescued from the San Marcos shelter by the very kind volunteers at ABCR and now I am in a foster home. The shelter took good care of me; I've been fixed and also my dental work is up to date. I am heartworm negative and on a monthly preventative. I am pretty new to my foster home but so far I like it quite well. I have a foster sister and we have a good time exploring the yard together, then taking long naps inside. My foster mom says I am the most handsome, agreeable guy she's ever met. I like to be close to her while she is working and at night I put myself in my crate to sleep. I also stay in my crate during the day when my foster mom is at work or otherwise away from the house. I like my crate and I do not protest at all. In fact, the only thing I've barked at here is the pesky lawnmower! My sister barks at the Amazon delivery drivers but I stay quiet. I am a middle-aged fella and I have a bit of arthritis so I'm well beyond my zoomies stage, but I still move very well. I can walk on a leash, even though I don't really understand it. I am not leash reactive and I mostly follow my foster sister's lead. I am fully house trained with an excellent meal and potty routine. My foster mom suspects I was an inside/outside farm dog in my previous life. Like most BCs, I love water play. I sorta know the "sit" command but I am very food motivated so I will learn several commands before too long! I truly don't need much to be content - I really just want to be with my person, a comfy bed for naps, and regular meals. Do you think you might be my forever person?
