From the 19th through the 25th of July, two of our volunteers, Emma and Blaine Dow with their good friend Randy Cooper, will be cycling across Iowa, more than 500 miles, to raise money for All Border Collie Rescue (ABCR). They will join RAGBRAI, The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa. The ride is an annual seven-day bicycle ride across the state where participants camp along the route. RAGBRAI is into its 43rd year and is the oldest, largest and longest bicycle touring event in the world.
All Border Collie Rescue is a not for profit volunteer rescue organization dedicated to the rescue of Border Collies where every dollar collected goes back into the next dog in need. Our goal is to rescue, rehab, and successfully match our Border Collies to forever homes with well-matched temperament and abilities. The Border Collies we take in come from many shelters throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and neighboring states.
Although we ask for an adoption fee for our dogs it is never enough to allow us to provide adequate medical care so we rely on donations to continue to rescue border collies. To donate to Emma and Blaine Dow's Ride use any Donate button on our website. Donations are through Paypal and there is a button at the very bottom of every page. In the Paypal purpose box just specify that the donation is for Emma and Blaine Dow's Ride.
