All Border Collie Rescue would like to introduce you to a different kind of dog rescue. John and Noel Lizotte have started a non-profit charity called "Rescued Rollers". Rescued Rollers has a simple mission: To give free or low-cost pet wheelchairs to animal rescue organizations, shelters, and individuals who otherwise cannot afford them. They do this by refurbishing wheelchairs that are donated by private owners in the hopes of giving another dog the freedom of mobility, or by purchasing wheelchairs for these dogs in need through the generosity of our donors. Inspired by their experiences with Ranger, their own handicapped Border Collie, they know about the high cost of new wheelchairs and the difficulty of finding a previously owned affordable alternative.
